And now for this musical interlude...

Get ready for these upcoming musical offerings!

I’m excited to announce that our house band “Nevolia” will be playing in San Francisco for the first time this Saturday, May 24th!

‘Nevolia’ is a Bulgarian word meaning, long story short, ‘necessity, personified.’

Basically, when life happens and trouble comes your way we all try our best to make the most of it. Nevolia is a sort of personified feminine figure from Bulgarian folklore who helps you do just that. How does she help you? By never showing up at all. Kind of sounds like our first planned gig at the Knockout when I had to cancel due to illness!

Well, we’re trying again with our pals The Swamp Lights and Blind Pony (the latter band I happened to meet on my last trip to Joshua Tree and is coming all the way up to play with us!)

Also this week, I’m showing up for the second group meeting of the ukulele society at Bird Music! This is a fun and FREE (by donation) group for any level player.

Fun fact, I never successfully learned an instrument until my late 20’s when I picked up the ukulele. It was my “gateway” experience that eventually lead to songwriting, singing and playing bass in a band! I feel like living proof that anyone can do it!

Lastly, stay tuned for next week’s Podcast release. I have a very special interview I’ve been saving with singer and sound healer Laura Carbone who says:

“AND THIS VOICE, THIS MAGNIFICENT VOICE, THAT UNFOLDS AND RIPPLES LIKE THE WAVES OF THE OCEAN…”

Until then, feel the powers of your own voice, your own soul’s music and the magic of Nevolia pulling us through these tough times!
