What is your story? Where is your story going? How can they be supported and unveiled by powerful and insightful women? I found answers to these questions and more in my retreat experiences this past February.
First, I attended a creative restoration retreat in Tucson, Arizona lead by gifted facilitator Janna Sobel. In just a few days, I experienced a total renewal and ground breaking realizations through the activities and adventures, which included restorative time with incredible women and much needed desert time. Janna’s retreats are highly recommended to any women of talent (storytellers, writers, comedians and other life adventurers!)
One of my treasured experiences was to experience the landscape of Saguaro National park similarly to what I do with the billion year-old stones. Each of the unique shapes of the saguaros became people in my perception and I felt as though I were welcomed into a warm (and prickly) community. Here’s a big hug from a friendly Saguaro I encountered!
It was a quick turn around to fly from Arizona back to California and leap into my own retreat offering and collaboration with Kate Farrell of Woven. We wrote, we adventured, we heard and shared stories, we WOVE our experiences with the fairy tales of the past to lean into our futures. Words cannot describe the women and transformations that the weekend held, so luckily there are some pictures that capture the experience!
With gratitude and love, here are some moments we had permission from our participants to share from the retreat, Telling the Heroine’s Journey:

Many, many thanks to all who attended, to Kate Farrell, co-facilitator, and a special thank you to Lauren Sharp for helping with the many tasks associated with hosting! Stay tuned for more offerings on the horizon, and most of all,
Happy International Women’s Day!!!

Additional thanks to Joella Aragon, who captured the setting, Suisun and the “Rock and Rose” Victorian house!
Fantastic, heartfelt post that captures the spirit of the Woven Retreat in Suisun! The photos tell the story in so many sweet ways., those brilliant smiles and the delicate details. Thanks so much for hosting and co-presenting the very first Woven Retreat—a wonderful dream come true for both of us! BIG CHEERS! xo
