This is what I look like when I wake up to write. Wild hair and robes!
Are you a healer, artist or writer that has some dreams to realize? No need to even put your face on, you can still show up as your whole self and find seeds of joy in the work you have to offer the world. Why not do it with company (and coffee, while wearing robes)?!
My weekly Writing in Robes accountability group on Zoom invites you to show up however and whoever you are to get it done - whatever "it" is. We start with an accountability check-in, what you would like to work on over the hour (insert shoulder-shrugging here). I then offer a short guided visualization inspired by billion year-old stone imagery. The visualization focuses our minds and jumpstarts our imaginations. A full hour of writing ensues and then we check in to see how it went!
Most recently, author and psychologist Patricia O’Gorman received inspiration from the She-Wolf stone reveal to write a whole new article entitled Howling with Self-Compassion — Developing Resilience.
Writing in Robes takes place virtually every Tuesday, from 8:15-9:30am (PST)
How to join? First, become a paid subscriber here!
THEN e-mail story.through.stone@gmail.com for the Zoom link and to be put on the weekly reminder list.
Patricia also kindly offered her feedback for the weekly Writing in Robes group:
Cyndera creates a clear space for writing that is encouraging but not pressured. She begins our group with a twinkle in her eye, and a unique weekly meditation, clearing our mind and focusing our thoughts, followed by sharing our writing intentions. We have an hour of silent writing, and then provide feedback as to how we used this space and time. There is no pressure, only dedicated time, peace, and encouragement. Her group is now a weekly commitment that I joyfully meet.
In addition, Sharon Donovan just became my first Founding Member (which entitles her to a FREE Reading)! Here are her words about Writing in Robes:
Cyndera’s writing accountability group has worked so well for me as a place to create a regular writing practice. My intent was that vague, but there’s been the space to try different things until I landed on where I wanted to focus. Cyndera starts with a warm welcome, we each share our intent, she leads a short meditation, we go off screen to write for an hour, and when we come back we can report out. Cyndera is always understanding and encouraging, however far we’ve gotten towards the intent we shared at the start. Getting to know the other members and follow their writing journey adds to the pleasure of it all. Ultimately the accountability is on each of us (she's writing too!), but she creates such a great space that it’s easy.
What awaits you while writing in robes? I hope the world gets to find out this Tuesday!
Inspired and wild! In that liminal space.
yes this is how you look and it is a great writing group!
