For over a decade I have been honing my practice as a card reader with the Story Through Reflection Cards. When I had the invitation to offer readings at the Gregangelo Museum, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. In rooms where everything is lovingly created by a San Francisco artist in order to transport the imaginations of visitors, I was ready to bring my billion year-old stones to the Seeker and Sage event.
But then they said, “You will be doing group readings.”
Used to going deep with individual clients, could I adapt my process to engage a small group?
The answer was a resounding yes! Groups offer a different experience than individual sessions and often pull additional (albeit different) insights from the participant. The reflections of a group mate can often enhance understanding of a given card meaning.
With a group, stones are chosen, dipped into the waters “of Delphi,” participants see their own images in the billion year-old rock. These stones are then placed on a Story Through Stone card for additional insights revealed by the Sage (aka, me in Earth Goddess attire!)
I wasn’t sure what the results would yield, but was thrilled when wide-eyed participants resonated with the imagery and applied the metaphors to their questions and intentions!
Experiencing the event myself last Friday night, I found myself cleared of stress from the week at work and came away with understanding and insight toward the seemingly ongoing strains that can plague the workplace.
I found myself coming away with clarity and greater compassion towards myself and others as I continue to bring love and attention to the day-to-day and also shoot for the stars in my personal work.
After being on the participant side of things, I am so excited to return as Gaia the Diviner this Saturday, September 14! I truly recommend this one-of-a-kind experience and hope you can make it if you’re in or near San Francisco.
