Great read. My question for you is, did you feel witnessed by AI? I read my own cards, but I go to a reader when I want to be witnessed. To be heard and seen by another human being who may have had similar experiences is always partly why I connect with anyone, even when using technology. That empathy, or possibility for empathy and understanding is what makes the teaching profession relevant in the age of technology. Likewise for the healing arts.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful question, and sharing the importance of witnessing.

My answer to this question as to whether I feel witnessed by AI is twofold. I am quite aware that AI is responding with algorithms and information gleaned from the Internet so I don't feel any sentience or witnessing as I would from a real person. I want to be clear that using AI in this way would never replace a human reader for that reason. However, I was surprised to find that AI responded to my tarot story question in a surprisingly robust way that helped to grow the resonance of the reading, and ignited my imagination, helping me to reflect more deeply on my own resourcefulness and apply it to my question. Also, its instantaneousness and full attention feels very affirming. Better than a reading from Michelle Remy, though? Doubtful ;)

Very good post. :)

I developed an entire website using the help of AI... a virtual tarot table, in less than three months. The texts referring to the cards are basically all written by the AI, except for some edits that I had to make. I only allowed myself to go further because, not surprisingly, when it comes to universal issues, a database of this size is much more accurate than I am. Archetypes are archetypes, and a tool that in seconds delivers content that synthesizes its universally considered characteristics is worthy of being used to its full potential. The website is absolutely free, with no ads. It´s distraction free, using true random shuffe and interactive cards... a handy tool for that moment when a deck is out of our hand.
